ST. PAUL, MINN. (June 18, 2019) – Forbes ranked Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union (Affinity Plus) as one of the top Minnesota Best-In-State Credit Unions. This is the second year in a row that Affinity Plus has made the national rankings.
“To be named one of the best credit unions in the state for the second consecutive year is just awesome. This recognition speaks to the belief and trust that our members place in us each day as their trusted banking partner,” said Dave Larson, President and CEO of Affinity Plus. “I’d like to take a moment to thank each one of our employees who make this a reality for our members. Even while we are named as one of the best credit unions in state, we recognize and will also recognize that we can improve each and every day for members.”
Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista to survey more than 25,000 people across the U.S. about their banking relationships. The banks and credit unions were rated on overall recommendations and satisfaction, including:
- Terms and conditions
- Branch services
- Digital services
- Financial advice
According to research firm Statista, Affinity Plus scored especially high in trust.
Overall, 182 credit unions and 149 banks qualified, or 3.1% of the total number of U.S. financial institutions. There are more than 5,000 credit unions with 117 million members across the U.S. Member-only credit unions typically have lower fees and offer better interest rates than traditional banks, and the nonprofit model also puts the customer first, resulting in higher levels of satisfaction.
